Overview

This dataset is part of the Ocular Microbiome Consortium, a collaborative research effort to study microbes on the human eye. The goal is to characterize microbial communities across different ocular sites and understand their role in eye health and disease.

Currently, data from Baylor University (BCM), Johns Hopkins University (JHU), Vanderbilt University (VUMC), and the University of Washington (UW) have been deposited.

File name format:

  <sample_name>.unmapped.fast[aq].gz

• Human reads were removed using Minimus2 and KrakenUniq
• Remaining reads are metagenomic sequences
• Files are in FASTA/FASTQ format, compressed (.gz)
